Included, you will find the following ingredients:

    Varied plant materials

    Makko (the binding agent)

    12 sticks

    1 mixing stick for stirring

    Gloves

Items you will need to provide:

    A bowl

Recommended amount of water based on blend (see below)

    A measuring teaspoon

    Mask (recommended)

    A flat surface

    Paper to protect the surface

Tape for securing the paper to the surface

    A drying rack

    • First, take everything out of the bag, and make sure the items listed at the top are included.
    • Pour the Makko and other plant ingredients into the bowl. Mix them together thoroughly until they are evenly distributed.
    • Then, add the water or tea a teaspoon at a time. Remember: You can always add more water. If you feel you have added too much water, you can let the dough dry out a bit before returning to it. The consistency should be dough- like, and you should be able to shape it into a ball easily.
    •  Knead your ball of dough around 2-3 minutes.
    • Then, roll small portions of dough onto sticks, roughly ½ teaspoon, though this can vary widely. Stop rolling the dough about two inches from the bottom of sticks.
    • Set on drying rack.

**Sticks must dry 2-5 days before burning. Aroma enhances with time.*

Recommended amount of water based on blend:

Clearing Blend (Palo Santo and Sage)
7-11 teaspoons of water or tea of your choosing

Calming Blend (Lavender, Red Cedar, Sandalwood)

**We recommend these wide ranges of a water amounts because humidity and other conditions can lead to variations.
